Becoming a Member

How to apply for membership and join the Glen Gardens community.

The Co-op Difference

Living here means becoming a member, not a tenant. All members contribute a few hours a month to a committee — such as Maintenance, Gardening, or Finance — to help our community thrive and keep operating costs low.

How to Apply

Applications are obtained from and submitted directly to our on-site administration office. Please note the Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto (CHFT) does not accept applications or manage waitlists on our behalf.

Waitlist Information

Due to high demand, our market-rent waitlists may close periodically. For Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) subsidized units, applicants apply through the centralized waiting list managed by the City of Toronto.

Approval Process

All prospective members pass a credit check, provide positive landlord references, and attend a friendly interview with the Co-op Membership Committee before being approved for residency.
